Welcome, I always knew writing was in my future. My passion for the art started in high school. Some of the best memories of my childhood involved books -from weekly trips to the library with my best friend to my older sister reading poems by Paul Laurence Dunbar. I was born and raised in the Midwest. I am married with two adult children. I graduated from Howard University in Washington, D.C., a location that fed my imagination for many of my early short stories. Writing women's fiction is my first love. When I am not writing or working as a nurse, I enjoy gardening, sewing, and of course, reading. I believe community outreach is an important part of being a human sharing this world. I seek to add positivity to my environment and the people in it. I began blogging as a way to spread a message of hope and positivity. I am currently working on my first novel. I hope my stories will help empower women to live a life untethered, and on their own terms.
